The End.

I am ending Clippings.

As you know, I don't update much anymore and can't really find the time to! It's been fun over the years just posting fun and cool things which is why I held on to it for so long. So, I'm sad to end it all! But I'll leave the site up for a little while for those of you who still check back for links and such.

holidays

The holidays don't have to be super serious all the time, so here are some random things I found that will bring a little laughter or cleverness or at least a little humor to your December.

Finally, the rest of us have something to wear during the holidays! Gotta love Seinfeld and it's lasting effects on pop culture. Not to mention the pole. I almost forgot about the pole! You can find this at Busted Tees for $18.99.

Every year I want to buy these. Maybe this year I will. Gotta love that the half-eaten gingerbread boy cookie cutters. So funny. You can find them at Spoon Sisters for $12.50.

These had to be invented by college guys. Right? At least they're clean. And pretty funny. And you can find them at the ever clever Urban Outfitters on sale right now for $5.99.

 

Maybe it's because I live in New York that I think this is funny...and now I'm wishing I had bought some of these for my Christmas cards...hmmm. Anyways, you can find these funny cards (along with plenty of other funny and cool stuff) from Bob's Your Uncle at Greener Grass Designs for $16 (8 in a pack).

I think this is funny...and then I picture someone chewing black gum. Ew. But still funny, I guess. You can get this Coal Bubble Gum from Urban Outfitters on sale for $5.99.

Everyone has their list that they check more than twice. This list is really, really long and has things like criticize a relative and taste an icicle. I need one of these. It can be found at Knock Knock for $7.00.

Don't have a fireplace? Don't worry. You can watch it on tv! Holiday Yule Log dvd (complete with sing-a-long books) can be found at Barnes & Noble for $14.95.

I love this. And I love Diet Coke. And I love that someone made Diet Coke into an ornament. Awesome. You can get it at Urban Outfitters on sale for $4.99.

And as one of the all-time funniest Christmas movies ever, the holidays aren't complete without watching A Christmas Story (which is usually on tv a kabillion times so there's no chance that you'll miss it). You can get your own copy at Amazon for $9.49 (full screen).

twilight

Whether or not you've read the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, there's a pretty good chance you know someone who has.

So, for this edition of Hot Off the Cafe Press, I spent some time looking for cool Twilight merch on the do-it-yourself site. To be honest, most of it was terrible. Too bad for words. Which is why I'm only posting a few--there were only a few good ones.

But with the holidays approaching, you may want to look here for a one of a kind gift for the Twilight fan in your clan.

I totally love the designs by Marlene McCune at her Be A Bella Swanabee shop (and not only because she's a friend of mine) because they're actually cool. They were created after being disgusted by the designs offered at Twilight Teez which, let's face it, weren't up to par. Pictured here is the 2.25" button for $6.73.

 

As far as a design that looks well-made and isn't painfully obvious that you're on Team Edward, this design from T-Shirts and Gifts for the Fans of the Movie Twilight (not-so creative title, but straight to the point, I guess). Shown is the Property of Edward Cullen long sleeve t-shirt for $28.99.

I like this bag, because it doesn't just apply to the Twilight books. It could be anything from, say, Jane Austen books, as well! And it's funny. To me, anyways. You can find the "Boys in Books Are Just Better" series at Demoiselle Design's shop, the bookbag shown here is selling for $17.99.

I just think this is just cute. It's also not screaming Twilight for those who want to subtly wear their Twilight love. Plus there might just be someone who actually likes Forks, WA without being a Twilight fan. Who knows. You can find this t-shirt at the House of Funk store for $25.99.

For the five people out there who like Jacob Black, here's a good fit--the I Heart Werewolves hooded sweatshirt for $28.99 from Fanpire Designs. Yes, they're called Fanpire Designs. It's a crazy world, this Twilight Land.

For a fun but simple tribute to your favorite vampire, go for this design by the Creative Spot. A little more flirty than the others, but not over the top. I think. This tank is selling for $18.99.

I kind of love birds. Well, I love them when they're on cute stuff (I don't like them when they're flying around my head...ha ha...). But I really love them when they're on kid stuff cause it's just so darn cute. So, this edition of For the Kids is all about birds.

How cute is this bird mobile? Not only does it have birds, it also has a polka dotted cloud in the middle (I also love me some polka dots). You can find it at Gifts Define for $72 (but it looks simple enough to make at home, don't you think?).

Would it be weird to carry this super cute purse around as an adult especially because it's made for children? I didn't think so! I so want it! It's made by Giddy Giddy and you can find it at Pink Olive Boutique for $36. Love it.

Another bird with polka dots! I love it!! Wouldn't you just love to snuggle up to this awesome pillow? It makes me happy just looking at it. You can get it at Fawn & Forest for $36 and it's made by KLT Works.

Loving this bird pillow and blanket set (and loving the pink and orange). It's simple and stylish--two great things in my book. You can find it at Pokka Dots for $79.

I love that owls are so cool. And this clock, is no exception--it's uber cool. Love the hand drawing-ness of this clock and how the numbers look stitched. So cute. Made by Decoylab and can be purchased at Fawn & Forest for $28.

 

How adorable is this little shirt? Super adorable. I love the folk art bird and the red on pink is so cute. It's by Monstar Kids for $28.

These are the sweetest little birdie booties. They kind of look Christmas-y, too, don't you think? Love these. You can find them at Pink Olive Boutique for $28.

Again, I'm in love with this little dress! I want one! Except this would fit over maybe my arm. They need to make it in adult sizes. How beautiful!! It's made by Pink Chicken and you can get it at Tad Pole for $69.

And last, but not least...I looooove the Pigeon books by Mo Willems. So cute. So funny. And so beautifully illustrated. You can find them all at Amazon.

While perusing on Etsy recently, I discovered a plethora of neckwarmers, or scarflettes, everywhere! And just in time for the weather to get cooler. I think I'm in love. Check out my finds:

How absolutely cute is this scarflette? Extremely, I'd say. You can get it at beebun's store for only $22.

I'm loving the combo of the knit and the ribbon, especially in the gray/orange color combo. So pretty! You can find it at dollyknits' shop for $32.

I'm loving this beautiful cowl neckwarmer from easternsky's store for $70. Doesn't it look super warm? Perfect for fall and winter.

I'm loving the buttons on this super cute neckwarmer from phydeaux for $75. I also love the versatility of it--you can wear the buttons in the front, to the side or in the back. So cool.

This is such a cool unisex neckwarmer from agmode's shop for $28 and there are more where this came from! Love the stripes and the colors of this one.

 

I absolutely love this gorgeous neckwarmer from felted's store for $38. It's just so pretty! Love it.

Simple yet so beautiful is this scarflette from lilybirddesigns for $22. Perfect way to pretty up before going out into the cold.

Welcome back to Clippings! I've taken a break and realized just how much I've missed posting to Clippings!
