Mike and I bought a new house in August and I promise that I will post pics of it as I continue to blog. It's pretty much my favoritest house ever. Luckily it's all ours.
One of my favorite parts of this house is the kitchen. It makes me happy. And behind my sink is a little corner with windows that I knew when I first saw it that it would someday be home to a little herb garden. Which it has.

We have Basil, Thyme, Rosemary, Oregano, Sage, Mint, and Peppermint that I've put in simple, white pots from IKEA. I like simple. And cheap. I then painted some popsicle sticks with black chalkboard paint and wrote their names on them with a paint pen. Again, simple and cheap.

Now, I am no herb expert. I mostly got them because I thought it would look pretty. And they do! They also smell lovely. But I am not here to give advice on herbs or planting or using (I may have already killed my Rosemary...ahem). So, I may not be doing the whole drying/preserving herbs thing right (even with Google at my fingertips, I'm still going with the flow). My plan of action includes me occasionally pulling leaves off the plants and letting them dry on my counter on a plate.

Then I put them in ziploc's for a future use. Super high-tech advanced herbology here. Again, I mostly got them for superficial reasons. And I'm ok with that.
And if you're wondering where I got the title for this post, it comes from one of my all-time favorite movies, Clueless:
TAI: I could really use some sort of an Herbal refreshment...
DIONNE: Oh, well, we do lunch in 10 minutes. We don'y have any tea, but we have Coke and stuff.
Ah. Love it. Hilarious.
