I've decided that making these Project Life-sized cards is super fun. And last night I was getting inspired by both Audrey Hepburn quotes and Kate Spade colors and patterns and this is what came out:

Yesterday, we were at the beach. And it was lovely. Here are some of the highlights:
I just got back from a weekend trip to California with one of my besties Hollie and her daughter Allie. It was so fun! And much, much warmer than Utah. I'm trying hard not to sink into a deep depression due to the fact that yesterday morning I was walking on a beach in Malibu and today it's windy and snowy outside at a cold 28 degrees. Ugh.
I wanted to post some pics from our trip so this first post is from our studio tour at Warner Brothers! This is one of my most favoritest things to do in L.A. Both of my brother's used to be tour guides there and I'd always go take their tour but this was the first time in a long time that I had a stranger for my tour guide (although he was a friend of my brother's). Still awesome though!

My name is Sarah and I'm addicted to Diet Coke. And...I really don't care. Yes, I am that person. I drink it all the time and...I really don't care! Seriously. As a diabetic (type 1), I live for non-sugary drinks and I have found my soulmate in the form of Diet Coke.
Diet Coke makes me happy and I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one out there.
So, as I was working on some stuff tonight (and drinking DC) I thought that it would be appropriate to design a little something to declare my love for my favorite beverage:

EATING: Nothing at the moment but the hubs and I went for lunch at Communal. The fries were the bestest.

FEELING: Excited for the weekend! My sisters are both coming over for a sleepover at my house tonight for their February birthdays. So so so excited!
WEATHER: It's warming up...hopefully it lasts.
WANTING: To take a nap. I woke up too early this morning against my will.
NEEDING: To do laundry. It's piling up.
WISHING: It were Spring.
THINKING: About my dear Oliver and hoping that this weekend goes well for him. He's my bud. And my shadow. So it's going to be hard having him gone even for a few days. Hopefully it goes well.
ENJOYING: Cooking. I'm trying out new recipes which is fun for me.
LOVING: Pinterest. As do we all.
We are not big Valentine's celebrators at our house. I'm sure once we have a kid, it'll be a different story (because I love getting anything themed from Target but need a good excuse). But we are perfectly content with giving each other cards and calling it good.
Mostly because we always like to do things for each other on regular days (i.e. buy gifts, bring home flowers, go for dinner) that it seemed a little much to try to make this one day a fancy one. But I am a card person so I absolutely love getting cards from my husband. And this year he got me a Paris-themed card so I thought that was extra thoughtful.
I've decided that every time I finish a book, I'm going to make a print of it! Seriously, that makes me want to finish the books more. Not sure if that's sad or not. I think of it as a win-win.

Remember how I started a Book Club for myself? I know. Awesome. Well, it's coming along, folks! I just finished the first book:
This was my first Oscar Wilde and it was goooood. I really like his writing style. I will admit that there are some boring parts (I'm looking at you, Chapter 11) but overall it is such a compelling story full of moral questions (both the obvious and obscure) and witty conversation (which I like).
I will also note that the copy I was reading from was designed by the amazing Jessica Hische. Love it. You can get a bunch of classic books she designed at Barnes and Noble.
