It's been a while since I've done a Freebie Friday so here's a little something for your 4th of July festivities coming up! Cupcake toppers! These were fun to design and I'm planning on using them next week for my 4th of July breakfast I'm having at my house (but probably not on top of cupcakes...for breakfast). Paris - Versailles

I finally got around to editing more Paris pictures! This set is from our visit to Versailles. I loved Versailles--well, I loved Marie Antoinette's home and the gardens the best. The palace? Meh. More gold everywhere. ;)

LG Forever

My girl crush on Lauren Graham is holding strong, folks. I just finished "Someday, Someday Maybe" and I loved it. I did. I think she did an excellent job writing (it was chalk-full of Lauren-speak) and it was the kind of book where I really did want to keep reading to find out what happens. I hope she writes more books so I can continue to fantasize about us being besties. :)

Party of One Book Club : Little Women

I finally finished Little Women!! It took me a while but only because this book is over 700 pages (or at least was on my Kindle) but not because it wasn't enjoyable. It was lovely. I might have also read Mindy Kaling's book somewhere in the middle of reading this one (it was great, btw)...so...ahem.

I don't know about you, but I fell in love with the movie that came out in 1994 with Winona Ryder for so many reasons (the acting, the cinemetography, the sets and costumes, Christian Bale...) and it really did make me happy to see how many lines from the film were directly from the book. Loved it. So much.

And because I finished the book, I designed a print that will go up in the shop soon! I'm going to be adding lots to the shop soon and this will be one of the items. Stay tuned.


 Here is where I am on my Party of One Book Club and I'm looking forward to reading The Scarlett Letter! Although I think I might take a selfish Book Club break and read Lauren Graham's book "Someday, Someday Maybe" because, hello...it's Lauren Graham's book. Enough said. 

Paris - Where We Stayed

We had no idea where to start when looking for a place to stay in Paris. Luckily, my friend Marlene suggest vrbo.com (Vacation Rentals By Owner)--it was just what we wanted! We were able to find a great apartment to rent for the 6 days we spent in Paris.

Here is the link to the actual apartment we stayed in. It was lovely! The courtyard was TO DIE FOR gorgeous and it was in a nice, quiet area. It was close to a Metro station and within about a 20 minute walk to Notre Dame (which is great first thing in the morning and almost killed me when we walked home at the end of the day).

And the owner, Yael, was excellent--so helpful, even when someone happened to blow a fuse trying to plug in her flat iron and sent someone right over... Needless to say, I had horrible hair this whole trip.

My only complaint was the bed (and this goes for every bed we stayed in on this trip)--too hard. We American's must be used to softer beds or something. But at the end of a long day traipsing around Paris, any bed would do!

Paris - Out & About

Here are my some pics! They are super late because reality hit after I got back and I've been super busy with work (which is good!). This first bunch are from walking or taking the hop-on/hop-off bus and boat tours around Paris. Enjoy!
